Porto Seguro Eco Bahia Hotel

The restaurant food was very good, and the service there was excellent. The rooms, though, have a serious cleaning problem. We found paper on the floor and dirt and hair in the toilet. We complained, and they offered us a room that was even worse. The desk service was very poor too. We'd been in Brazil for 20 days, and this was the worst place we stayed. We needed somewhere near the airport for an early flight, so we paid 120€, almost 800BR. Since the minimum wage in Brazil is under 2.000BR, we expected something nice. Resting was miserable anyway, with guests partying, playing loud music, and talking noisily.

On the second night of my graduation trip, everything my friends and I had put in the safe was stolen. The hotel took no responsibility, and we were left without money for the rest of the trip, losing thousands and thousands of dollars. It was the worst experience ever.

For a quick overnight stay, the pool area does the job, though it badly needs renovations. The rooms are dated and have no personality. It's near the airport, but there's not much else around. You also can't bring outside food or drinks into the public areas, which was a shame since the hotel's food was pretty mediocre.

The views were even better than the food, and the staff were kind and friendly.
