It’s in a very convenient spot, on one of the main streets near Passarela do Álcool. The staff were polite, but service could use improvement, and uniforms would help identify who works there. The rooms are very basic but clean, and I didn’t like the bathroom. The water from both the shower and faucets is salty, which I didn’t understand. Breakfast is included, but it’s modest, with nothing special or much variety. Some areas leak when it rains. If you mostly want somewhere to leave your things and don’t plan to hang around the hotel, you may not mind. But if you want comfort and excellent room service, look somewhere else.

The afternoon receptionist, Júnior, was awful: rude, unhelpful, and unwilling to change the shower or offer us another room to bathe in. The water from the shower and faucets is SALTY, which is really unpleasant. The other receptionist was attentive and polite, the location is good, and breakfast was good.

The management of Pousada Canoas tends to cancel reservations and not refund customers. It happened to me, and I lost my money. I strongly don’t recommend it. They play the usual pass-the-blame game, leaving you with the loss, disappointment, and a feeling that no one is held accountable. Watch out for this scam.

The rooms felt incredibly cramped. I haven’t felt that claustrophobic since being in military custody in 1981. Breakfast was about as simple as it gets, with two juices: one tasted red, and the other tasted like nothing. The people were so angry that it’s hard to believe ten were hired at random. This was a real letdown. It must be family run. We’ve checked in for three nights, and I don’t know if I can last that long. If you have another place to stay, take it.

Breakfast was good, and the location is convenient, but the room was poorly maintained and needs a proper renovation. The water was awful and salty. I wouldn’t recommend this inn.
