Pousada Costamar

I had to switch rooms four times. In the first, the shower was messed up; in the second, the toilet wouldn’t flush; in the third, the AC wouldn’t turn on. Then the upstairs rooms lost water, so I had to move again on the last day, which was a huge hassle. The air conditioner was very old and noisy, the window had no glass, and the minibar door fell onto my hand. I feel sorry for the attendants doing freelance shifts there. They aren’t told about the problems and are left to deal with them on their own. Sad.

The receptionist treated us really well, and the location was very good. That’s about all I can praise. The pool was extremely dirty and unsanitary, the shower enclosure was broken and its window was dirty, and the toilet looked permanently stained like it had urine on it. When we tried to nap, ants were crawling all over the bed and us. The listing photos didn’t match reality at all. I’d booked just one night to rest before a flight, and was glad it was only one; the place made me want to run as soon as I arrived. I understand the rate is cheap, but the listing should still be honest about the condition. Cleanliness is about taking care of the place, not how much it costs.

The location was really good, and both the cleaning and breakfast were very good too. Service could have been better, and our room had signs of water damage. What frustrated us most was that the listing showed a pool, but it was so dirty every day of our stay that we couldn’t use it.

I had to spend one night here after arriving at the airport in the middle of the night. It’s hard to call it an inn. The photos show a completely different place, and the room they gave me was in terrible shape, damp, stuffy, and with an AC that didn’t work. The pool had no water and was under construction on 02/01/2026. The service was awful too. The attendant called into the room when it was time for me to leave. The price is the same as better places, so look carefully before booking. It wasn’t worth what I paid.
