The only real advantage was the location, close to Passarela do Álcool and the city center. We stayed for 6 days, and the experience was disappointing enough that I want to share it. The Google and Instagram photos gave us a very different impression from what we found in person. There was damp and mold throughout the place, with visible water damage on the walls and ceiling and a strong, constant mold smell in our room. That made it feel unhealthy, especially for people with breathing problems, children, or older guests. We asked to change rooms and were shown ground-floor options, although ours was on the first floor. They were even worse, with damaged paint, damp reaching halfway up the walls, a very strong mold odor, and old air conditioning units, mini-fridges, and beds. We paid R$ 450,00 per night during Carnival, influenced by the online photos, and the condition didn’t match the price. We tried to leave, but it would have cost too much during the holiday period. We were even told our room was an upgrade, so apparently there are worse ones. 😱 The inn is old, but that doesn’t excuse its poor upkeep and cleanliness. The curtains were mold-stained, the towels and sheets looked dingy, and the mattress was very old, with no proper fitted sheet. The bathroom mirror was heavily stained and had little usable area. There was a strong sewage smell coming up from the drains, and the toilet smelled of urine when we arrived. They didn’t replace the toilet paper, so we ran out on our last morning. Room cleaning was only done if requested. There was nowhere suitable to hang wet clothes, which is a basic thing for a beach stay, and they didn’t provide hand towels or hand soap. Breakfast was simple and the same every day, with few choices for anyone eating more healthily. It didn’t fit the price either. We noticed several other places nearby with better value and proximity. The room and the inn’s overall condition seriously affected what should have been a restful stay. I wouldn’t return or recommend it.

I brought a group of 14 people to this inn, having been drawn in by the lovely photos on accommodation platforms. It turned out to be the worst stay I’ve had. The location is the only good thing. There was one attendant for the whole inn, and she also had to do the cleaning. Service was awful, and the rooms were dirty. I’ve seen animal enclosures with more hygiene. I booked six rooms, and none of them were cleaned. Some beds had broken legs, the sheets were torn, and one room had a broken shower. The walls in another room were black with dirt. Breakfast wasn’t good either, just some fruit scattered on the table, two cakes, bread, and not much else. Worst of all, the inn was infested with cockroaches everywhere. Rooms are supposed to be cleaned every two days, but they weren’t cleaned properly on the day they did it, and they took a long time to return the key. I could list more faults, but I’ll leave it there.

The location is good, not far from Porto Seguro’s center, and a few staff members were polite and treated us well. The service overall wasn’t great, though. In the rooms they call deluxe, there was grime in the showers, and dirt under the beds showed that the cleaning wasn’t good. We had to change rooms because water was dripping onto the bed. One night, the key wouldn’t open the gate, and we nearly got stuck outside. Breakfast wasn’t anything special either.

The inn itself was pleasant enough, but the rain caused a major headache. Water leaked in several places, soaking the bed and some of my belongings. Reception only operates until 10 p.m., and we couldn’t reach anyone even on the emergency number. With no reply, we had to find and pay for somewhere else around midnight. The next morning they finally sorted it out, reimbursed me, and moved me to another room. I understand that things can go wrong, but leaving guests without any help is unacceptable. I hope they carry out the needed maintenance and review how guests can reach them in an emergency.
