Residence Paraíso

The hosts were lovely, helpful, and friendly, and we really liked them. The kiosk was wonderful, especially for gauchos who enjoy grilling. The house is spacious and has a balcony. It’s simple, and a good match for people looking for nature without luxury. We had a really good stay at Residence Paraíso.

There were lots of mosquitoes, and the window screens had holes, so they didn’t keep them out. The apartment is large, but the setup needs work: it could use more hangers and a place to set suitcases in the bedroom. The fixed clothesline is on the balcony, and when it rains you can’t bring it inside. Once you take the clothes off, there’s nowhere indoors to put them. Some essential kitchen items were missing too.

It’s decent for the price, though the decor is very basic. I missed some simple kitchen things, like a juice pitcher and a salad bowl, and there were only just enough glasses and knives for the number of guests. Some local crafts would make the place feel more connected to Porto Seguro, and they’re sold there for very low prices.

The place was exactly as advertised, and our hosts were so welcoming and quick to answer any questions. It’s well located near the beach, in my opinion the best part because it’s less crowded than the area near Axé Moi. There’s a supermarket on the corner, and the bus stop nearby is easy to use. We definitely recommend checking it out. Hope you enjoy your trip as much as we did!
