That quiet spot with hammocks and benches facing the view became one of my favorite memories. The evening breeze, the lovely sky and the stillness made everything feel simple and just right. Pousada Aponem has a beautiful outlook, and the pool was always clean and inviting for a relaxing dip after a day by the sea. Cícero and Flávia are such warm, thoughtful hosts. They’re from Minas Gerais, and you can feel that care in the way they look after you. We felt at home, not like customers. The breakfast was generous, with cakes, bread, fresh fruit, juice, yogurt, tapioca made to order, eggs, savory pies and cheese. Coming back from the beach to find afternoon coffee waiting was a lovely surprise, too. We were traveling by car and unsure where to stay in Corumbau, but choosing Pousada Aponem was an easy decision in the end. It’s more than a place to sleep, it’s somewhere to slow down and feel welcome. A macaw visits the grounds, which adds a little magic. Before leaving, I had a massage with Flávia, and it made the farewell feel like a moment of real care. I left relaxed, carrying good memories along with my photos. One of the most welcoming stays I’ve had, and I’d recommend it without hesitation.

Corumbau is a special place, with calm sea, preserved nature, beautiful beaches that are almost deserted, and a real sense of peace. Pousada Aponem fits right into that setting. It sits high on a cliff, with a striking view, starry skies at night and a quiet that’s hard to find elsewhere. The room was very comfortable and we slept well. The pool was great for relaxing, too. Flávia and Cícero made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. What a lovely family. Breakfast deserves its own mention. Flávia makes everything herself, and the care shows. The cakes were fresh and delicious, and my favorite was the bolo formigueiro. There was so much to enjoy that I wanted to get up early and take my time over it. We had a wonderful stay from start to finish. If you’re looking for comfort, a warm welcome and good food while enjoying Corumbau, I’d recommend it wholeheartedly. We’ll definitely come back. Wishing Flávia and Cícero a long and happy life!

The afternoon coffee is a great touch if you want to enjoy the end of the day without having to head into town. We also had a small issue in our room, and the owners brought in professionals to fix it the next day. The room had a lovely view out to the sea, so it was a unique stay. One suggestion: make a star map and turn down the lighting facing the water, since that would make it easier to see more stars. I’d also add a mosquito screen to the balcony door, so guests could leave it open at night.

We got the choice right for our first trip to Corumbau with our one year and eight month old baby. The place felt peaceful from the moment we arrived, right through to nightfall, which was spectacular. Breakfast was fresh, wonderful and plentiful, and the afternoon coffee after a day at the beach is a must.

It was wonderful. Just keep in mind that this place is far from everything, and that’s part of its charm. The view is incredible, everything is very clean and simple, and the light coming into the rooms is beautiful. There’s a feeling of peace and harmony at the pousada and around town. The owners are really special, and we felt right at home, just in comfort-plus mode, haha. I’m very grateful.
