Pousada Boa Sorte

I spent a week at the inn and had a wonderful stay. The room was spotless and spacious, with a great bed and a lovely view. Despite what some comments say, the area isn’t mangrove, it’s a place where the tide comes and goes. The bathroom and shower were great, and the air conditioning was quiet. Breakfast had plenty of variety, and they kept replenishing things as they ran low. If something wasn’t topped up, I could just ask in the kitchen and they’d take care of it right away. The Wi-Fi was poor in the rooms. What I appreciated most was that the quiet hours and house rules were actually followed.

We enjoyed the pool, which looks even prettier at night with the sea behind it. The staff were polite, attentive, and always happy to help. Our room was spacious, with a huge comfortable bed, a fridge, a drying rack, air conditioning, and a stunning ocean view. Waking up to the sunrise and the sound of waves, with the sea seeming right beside the bed, was unforgettable. We walked to the village every evening. Breakfast was tasty and varied, and more than enough for us. We’ve traveled quite a bit, but that was the first time we’d had really good pão de queijo outside Minas Gerais. We’d definitely come back.

The room was really comfortable, with a balcony and hammock. Having a proper fridge in there, not just a minibar, was so useful, and they also provided a drying rack. The electric shower got nice and hot, and the bed was huge and comfortable. The pool was warm and lovely in the late afternoon, breakfast was tasty and varied, and the team was helpful. Great value for money, I’d definitely recommend it. There were a LOT of mosquitoes, though. They said they provided SBP, but there wasn’t any, so bring repellent. It would have been even better if the SBP had been there too, haha. The power went out for more than eight hours on my first night. That’s a city issue, not the inn’s, but a generator could be a good investment. Either way, guests might want to bring water and crackers in case it happens, since I’ve heard outages like that are recurring in Cumuru.

There was a real sense of connection for me at this place. Beyond the huge room and balcony, the giant comfortable bed was so close to the beach that it felt like we could reach out and touch the sea. The food served at breakfast was impressive, and the lit-up pool at night was another lovely feature. But the personal feeling I got from the place was what stayed with me.
