The policies posted in the room were ridiculous. They said not to stain towels or bed linen, with a R$60 charge per stain, and that towels and sheets were changed only every three days. If you insisted on a change, you'd pay R$10 per item. The towels were blue, too, believe it or not. Paying by card also added a 10% fee to the stay. I never felt like a customer, and the owners were not welcoming at all. The service was truly awful. I won't be back and can't recommend staying here.

There are rooms facing the pool and others facing the street. Ours was clean and comfortable, and the owner's attentive service made us feel at home. Her daughter also went out of her way to help. The internet dropped out sometimes, and the conventional air conditioner and electric shower could use maintenance. There's also a pizzeria and pastel shop on site, with tasty pizzas and pastéis that make meals easier. A good option in Guaratiba.
