Vila das Mangabeiras Corumbau

The outdoor spaces were a highlight for me, from the pool to the hammocks and lounge chairs. Surrounded by nature, it was easy to switch off and enjoy the simple beauty around me. The pool was clean and refreshing when I went for a swim, and the breakfasts were incredibly delicious. The gated parking area was very handy too. Without a car, I could walk to the beach, with a small supermarket and restaurants nearby. For my fifth visit to Corumbau, I stayed at Vila Das Mangabeiras and was so glad I did. I needed somewhere for four weeks, with the freedom to come and go as my travels changed. I first stayed in the two-story loft, a private space with everything a family might need: a full kitchen, two full bathrooms and bedrooms, outdoor seating, a hammock and gated parking. We watched some incredible sunsets from the patio bench. Later, I switched to a private bedroom with a bathroom and mini fridge. That suited me perfectly, and I loved being able to leave the shutters open all day thanks to the large screen window. Fernando and Patricia were welcoming and flexible, and seemed genuinely happy doing what they do. Their team was polite and helpful throughout. Felipe, their volunteer, went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. His lovely nature was much appreciated, and his fluent English helped me out many times. The team took the COVID situation seriously. They wore masks consistently, provided alcohol disinfectant for guests in the public areas, and I saw them thoroughly sanitize the breakfast area after we left. The pousada was beautifully maintained and considerate of its guests during what was going on in the world. I’ll definitely come back. Thank you for a wonderful stay, and I can’t recommend them highly enough.
