Shanti House

We stayed in the house and found it cozy, with a lovely garden and private pool. The staff were friendly, and it’s close to both the beach and the village.

Nice location.

This place isn’t accessible for people with disabilities. I’d mentioned that my sister has trouble getting around and asked for a ground-floor room, but we still struggled throughout the weekend. The path into the property is too narrow for a wheelchair or walker. Each time we went in or out, it was difficult, and since my sister doesn’t recognize the risks, we had to hold onto the walker to keep her from falling. The shower has a huge step, which made bathing her very hard too. They say pets are allowed, but the area isn’t screened in and has lots of openings where animals could get out or others could come in. We saw cats coming inside, so our pet had to stay locked up the whole time. Then we found a cockroach right by the low bed area attached to the room. We were even stopped at the condominium entrance despite having paid for everything. The property doesn’t look like the photos, and the pool and garden are behind a locked gate, so guests can’t use them. A huge, expensive disappointment. There’s no quick support for guests either, you have to wait for a WhatsApp reply.

A great spot to relax or spend time with friends or family. It’s very peaceful and quiet, and having a kitchen is handy for sorting out the basics without going out to eat. The room was great, though we did find a small cockroach in a corner of the kitchen. I wouldn’t recommend it for kids, since the place is so quiet and geared toward resting.
