Hostel Canto da Ocian

The room was flooded, smelled awful, and was covered in mold. The wardrobe was falling apart, the shower was cold, and the kitchen had only a sink, so making food was just a dream. There weren’t sheets or soap, and there weren’t two pillows. The place also smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, even though smoking wasn’t allowed. We lost 92 reais, and they wouldn’t refund us. You have to pay before seeing the place, which felt like a trap. I’m leaving now. I’ve never seen anywhere like it: no reception, terrible service, and a sarcastic response when I mentioned the poor conditions. The room didn’t match the listing at all. It was cheap, but cost us dearly. Don’t fall for it.

My room had been broken into. It was dirty, full of cigarette butts, and smelled terrible. I fell for a scam, and they still haven’t replied to me.

Businesses need to do things properly and keep everything clean. That’s how you end up with nothing but bad comments. I’m not going there myself.

I’ve stayed there three times because the price is affordable, but the place is really bad. It’s dirty, there are no outlets, the showers are cold, and the service is awful. It’s extremely unclean, and the attention from staff isn’t adequate.
