Hotel Harmonia

Great..

The worst part was the water. It was off for an entire day, so guests couldn't shower after coming back from the beach covered in sand. Some people had to use buckets to flush the toilet. We later found out that staff deliberately turn off the water for the whole hotel, and we had to keep asking them to turn it back on so we could shower or use the toilet. There are no room extensions, so every request has to be made in person at reception. The pool water was dirty, its edges were greasy, and the floor had slime on it. The pool bathrooms had toilets with no seats and doors that wouldn't lock, and the umbrellas were broken. Breakfast was mediocre. The parking area looked like a vacant lot, yet they charge 50,00 a day and say they aren't responsible for the vehicles or anything inside them. The intercom doesn't work, so we had to get out and ask someone to open the gate. They left it wide open for long periods, and the part where we parked smelled like a dead animal. Our room problems were just as bad. We booked two “luxury” rooms, but one had neither air conditioning nor a minibar. We had to switch rooms, and then one room had working air conditioning but no working minibar, while the other had a working minibar but no working air conditioning. Bathroom tiles were coming loose and the shower enclosure was broken. The vanity cabinet wood had swollen so much that its doors were hard to open, and one room's sink tap had no water. One bed was broken and U-shaped. When we checked out, we found two bricks wrapped in foil being used as a prop. It was extremely uncomfortable, caused bad back pain, and led to sleepless nights. The headboards were greasy too. There was damp on the walls, a strong mold smell, and greasy, slippery floors. The corridors and stairs were in poor shape and barely lit. Some bathroom windows faced the corridor, and there were no water fountains. If you're planning to stay at this hotel in Praia Grande, I recommend reading this account and those from other unhappy guests. Be careful, because this hotel (Harmonia Caiçara) also goes by the name Hotel Sirena.

My stay was from 11 to 14 January 2026, and it was the worst hotel I've stayed in. The pool was the main reason I chose it, but it was dirty on the first day and stayed that way for the rest of my visit, so it couldn't be used. I asked to change rooms on the first day, but the receptionist was awful, brushed off my request, and refused even though there was an empty room. The elevator was broken, the pool was dirty, the double bed had a hole and sagged like a canoe, the stairs had no lighting, and the place was very dirty. I spent three days sleeping on a broken bed and going up four flights of stairs several times a day. I complained to customer service and by email, but got no reply. There wasn't a manager at the hotel.

Corridors and stairs had no lighting, the shower enclosure and bed were broken, and the air conditioner didn't work properly. Breakfast was very poor. Parking costs extra and looked like a vacant lot.
