Pousada Oceanica

H.

I saw a review here saying the owner went into someone’s room. That really makes you think you need to be careful and avoid certain places.

The location is great, close to the beach. The bathroom was disappointing, though: barely any water came from the shower, making it awful to bathe. Cleanliness also needs work. The sheets were completely yellow, and during our four days there they weren’t changed once. Breakfast was disappointing too, with watered-down packet juice and poor-quality slices of mortadella. The breakfast area was small and very badly organized.

The staff go into rooms when they think nobody’s there! The big problem was the inn’s owner. We left without remembering to leave the key at reception, as they ask guests to do. My friend went back and was using the bathroom when the owner (or an employee) unlocked the room with a spare key and came in, even though she was inside. He said we’d left the air conditioning on and that he thought we’d gone out. That was completely outside what we’d agreed to. It was abusive. He was rude and acted like our complaint about him entering the room was ridiculous. What if we’d been having an intimate moment? What if she’d just gotten out of the shower? The place feels completely unsafe!
