Bugan Hotel Recife by Atlantica

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and there's a nice pool and a gym with basic equipment. The staff are kind and helpful, and the customer service is very good. The main drawback is how much sound travels between rooms. You can nearly hear other guests talking, and loud couples too, which happens often enough. Rooms on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors facing the parking lot are darker, especially on the 1st floor, and have no view. The lot is only about 3-4 meters from the window, so leaving the curtains open doesn't feel very private. Even with those issues, I had a good stay and would recommend the hotel.

The hotel is just a few minutes by car from the airport and a few blocks' walk from Boa Viagem beach. Parking is conveniently in the next building. Inside, the lighting is beautiful, and all the staff were welcoming and upbeat. I was pleasantly surprised that the front desk spoke English. I'll definitely return on another trip to Recife. 5/5 stars!

The hotel is very nice, but that elevator is painfully slow. We waited over 5 minutes for it in the morning, something I haven't experienced at another hotel. When we were leaving, we realized we'd left something in the room, and the trip back up and down took more than 10 minutes!

I had the pool, gym, and sauna almost to myself, since they were pretty much deserted. The pool is on the small side, but there's bar service there. The rooms are spacious, and the staff are friendly and speak English. A great place to relax.
