A decent budget hotel, and the staff were nice. There were only Brazilians there while I was staying, so communication was hard since I only speak English. It claims to have a 24-hour reception, but none of the hostels in Recife actually seem to. At least you can come and go with your keys whenever you like. The air conditioning only runs at certain times, and is off during the day.

The staff were all super friendly during carnival. Our room was a bit damp and could use a fresh coat of paint.

We felt welcome thanks to the really friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious too. Great place, highly recommend.

The rooms and bathrooms were tidy, and the location worked really well. The staff were attentive both over the phone and in person. If you're going to an event at the convention center or classic hall, this is a handy place to stay.

We stayed in the Quarto cais de Santa Rita and it was awful. The bedsheet was full of holes, the plates were badly worn, and the room still seemed dirty. While we were sleeping, the bed just collapsed onto the floor. The wallpaper was peeling too. We arrived at night for a one-night stay, with checkout by 12:00. A terrible experience, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
