Hotel das Fronteiras

The owner was arrogant, and the place was awful. The rooms had mold on the walls. I only stayed because I had no other option.

The bathroom window looks out onto the back area where the pantry is, and staff walk through there. The room was full of German cockroaches, and the food was as bare-bones as it gets. There wasn’t even an egg for breakfast. The strangest place I’ve ever slept, and the worst experience of my life!

I never made it to the hotel. Before I arrived, I had a strange phone conversation with the owner. He was very blunt and said they don’t take Booking reservations, even though the hotel was listed there. He told me to cancel and book directly with him instead. His price was only R$20 more than the one on Booking, but I gave up because of how he spoke to me.

The hosts were extremely rude, and the breakfast had very little variety. The shower was broken, and nobody seemed interested in fixing it, so I had a cold shower. The towels were stained and so old they felt like floor rags. My room smelled of mold and was full of mosquitoes. I’m used to basic places, but this was the worst stay I’ve ever had. The price charged was higher than the amount we’d agreed on when booking. I don’t recommend it at all.
