Mercure apartamento

The kitchenette had no cooking utensils or amenities, which is a big miss for an aparthotel meant to have a fully usable one. I booked the special “Privilege” room expecting a renovated, top-notch space, but found damaged floor tiles, rust on the walls and ceilings, worn furniture, and lights and outlets that didn’t work.

I checked in at 2am and left just 10 minutes later. The place was dirty, in terrible shape, and badly in need of an update. It was extremely disappointing for somewhere that isn’t even cheap, and the advertising is disgustingly false. I don’t understand its 4 star rating. We lost all our money even though we never stayed. Buyer beware, and take a look at the pictures for yourself.

The location is the standout, and the view from my room almost made me forget the ants everywhere. My room was spacious and comfortable, but the hotel is old and being renovated, so I hope the rooms get the improvements they urgently need. The windows let in the sound of the sea, and street noise came through too. Breakfast was average, with some good items, but the room where it was served wasn’t very presentable and only had space for a few people. Compared with other Mercure hotels I’ve stayed in, this one had some of the weakest infrastructure. I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt while the renovation is underway.

During my five-day stay, we had no hot water for three days. It was frustrating and very uncomfortable. The staff gave little information, no proper explanation, and offered neither an alternative nor compensation. They showed no initiative to fix the issue or keep guests updated. This fell far short of what I expected, and I wouldn’t recommend the hotel.
