Recife Monte

I got out after only a few hours. The Recife Monte hotel was horrible: an old place with lots of construction, a smell, visible mold, things that didn’t work, and rooms that never seemed cleaned. The beds looked unsanitary, the room I was given had two double beds even though I’d ordered one single, and the Wi-Fi was awful. The staff seemed lost, and I watched people come to the desk and get sent in circles over their problems. The location wasn’t good either. The payment mess was just as bad. The hotel manager first said they had received my payment, then the next day said they hadn’t and that Expedia had the money. Expedia said it had already paid the hotel. Both were lying. Expedia had also booked me into a nonrefundable room. I’ll deal with both of them after my vacation, but I left. Anahi Hotel had no availability until Monday, so I went to Best Western second, after checking the hotels, and they offered me a lower rate than usual for the trouble I’d had. Best Western Hotel Manibu’s photos were accurate, and its staff were great and spoke English well without giving me the runaround. Anahi’s staff were also much better. Recife Monte’s photos were all lies.
