A really bad experience. I booked through Smiles for 14/05/2026 to 21/05/2026, but when I arrived they put me in room 103, which looked nothing like the advertised photos. It seemed to be under renovation, shabby and patched up. There were black mold spots in the corners of the walls, and they’d just covered the mold with filler. I took photos of everything in case they accuse me of lying. I raised it with reception, but they said nothing could be done and only the manager chose the rooms. I also contacted Smiles and got a case number, but nobody resolved it. The hotel and Smiles kept pushing responsibility onto each other. I felt deceived by the advertising and really frustrated with the stay.

The location worked well, but the room itself was a letdown. The bed and pillows were awful, even worse than Ibis Budget, and there was a strong musty, salty-air smell. The water pressure was weak, too, and the building has no elevator. I stayed just one night. Compared with the other places I tried in the area, I wouldn’t recommend it.

The staff were polite and the location was good, but the hotel needs work. My room was quite small, and the bathroom drain couldn’t keep up with the water coming from the shower.

The room was hot, and its window looked out onto a service corridor. When I asked why it differed from the room shown in the offer, I was told those were only illustrative photos and that the advertised room didn’t exist. The worst experience possible. I contacted Procon.

The staff were very polite and helpful, but the building is old and you can only reach the rooms by stairs. To top it off, I came across a venomous animal in the corridor.
