Pousada Das Araucárias

The breakfast was delicious, and our room with the tub and fireplace was spotless and well organized. My husband and I stayed for our anniversary on 18 and 19/10/25, and we loved the nature around us. The owners were warm, helpful, and welcoming. We had the best experience and would recommend it. 🐓🐖🐥🌳

The last stretch of road is a bit rough, so getting there takes some effort. Still, it’s worth it. A really good place to unwind on vacation.

The road is dirt, but it’s easy enough to drive. We loved our stay and were welcomed so warmly. Everything was clean and well looked after, and the view from up high is beautiful. Breakfast felt like an extra bit of care: homemade cake, fresh cheese bread, and jam made by the owner. Try the strawberry jam. We’d definitely come back. One suggestion for the chalets with whirlpool tubs: bath salts would be nice.

The common areas were lovely too, with a well-kept natural pool, sauna, games area, and a garden full of flowers, araucaria trees, and fruit trees. They’re also genuinely welcoming to pets and treated ours with so much affection. Breakfast was the highlight, with delicious cheese bread, fruit, different juices, wonderful cakes, good coffee, and plenty of cold cuts. The fresh Minas cheese and butter made at the pousada were especially good, all homemade and fresh. Our room was comfortable, clean, and cozy, with lovely bedding and a great whirlpool. I slept really well in the quiet, dark, cool night air that Maua has any time of year. Therezinha gave us a wonderful welcome, showed us the room, explained everything, and made us feel at home. When we left, she gave us a warm hug and a few cheese rolls. The people working there are as charming as the place. We were already wishing we could return. Pousada das Araucárias deserves more than five stars.
