Pousada Recanto da Montanha

What a place! It was peaceful and quiet, just what we were looking for. Lu, our host, was very polite and attentive, and everyone else was too. Their breakfast was one of the tastiest I’ve had across all the trips I’ve taken, and there have been quite a few. I’d gladly come back.

A peaceful, cozy spot for getting away from the chaos, and it’s well located. The pool was great and breakfast was impeccable. I do think housekeeping could be a little more thorough, though it wasn’t dirty. Thanks so much for the warm welcome.

The inn’s gardens are lovely, and there’s access to the river. We didn’t try the pool because of the rain and cold, but there’s also a sauna and a billiards room. They serve fondue and pizza, and we’ll definitely be back. The rooms were good, breakfast was wonderful, and the service was top-notch. It’s not that close to downtown: in daylight, you can take a pleasant walk of about 2 km, though the route isn’t lit. By car, you have to take the road and drive around 2 km as well.

I’m already counting the days until I can return. The welcome and service were wonderful, and everything was clean and well kept. Breakfast had lots of variety and was clearly made with care, with delicious jams, homemade breads, and an unmatched banana-filled bolinho de chuva. Just perfect! ❤️
