Resort Fazenda 3 Pinheiros

The food was amazing, and the kids had a great time with the entertainment crew and on the horseback ride, which included a stop at the little falls. I also had a really relaxing massage from Reginaldo while listening to the birds. The place is beautiful and very well kept, and the pool is amazing. We'd definitely come back and recommend it.

The food plan made the price make more sense: all three meals are included, and drinks cost extra. It still isn't cheap, but I thought it was worth it. There are sports like football, basketball, pony riding, and wall climbing, plus activities and evening parties. The animation team keeps the kids occupied so adults can unwind by the pool. The rooms have an old farmhouse feel, and there's a restaurant, bar, and party area. I landed here by chance for a night on my way to Sao Paulo, and didn't expect to find a place like this there. I think families with young children would enjoy a chance to relax away from everyday life.

I was disappointed there wasn't a clear acknowledgement of the darker history behind the fazendas. The resort seemed not to address what it was built from, who built it, or why, despite that past not being so distant. I did enjoy the day, though. The colonial buildings and art were interesting, and the activities were entertaining. I also felt sorry for the parrots kept in cages.

A great spot for a family weekend, with lots to do: horse riding, a carriage ride, quad biking, the pool, and trekking.
