The location is about a 15-minute drive from the port, with shops and other places within walking distance. My room was clean and felt worth what I paid, and the staff were friendly. Franco at reception was especially helpful with suggestions for where to go and what to do. There’s also a WhatsApp number that made it easy to get in touch. Michael, the owner, was nice to chat with over a few drinks at the bar. A great little hotel on Ilhabela.

The breakfast had great variety, and our room was clean. We also had a fun cachaça tasting after swimming, listening to Michael's stories. Franco made sure we had everything we needed and gave us plenty of ideas for things to do. Refugio da Harmonia is a charming pousada close to beaches and lots of restaurants. We really loved staying there.

The kitchen staff were so friendly and helpful, and breakfast was tasty: fresh bread, cheese bread, and scrambled eggs cooked to order and brought to each table. There weren't loads of choices, though it wasn't overly basic either. We stayed for two days and were welcomed warmly; they also suggested places to visit and things to do. It was my first time in Ilhabela, and I'd definitely come back 😊
