What I liked most was how quiet it was, even though the hostel is right in the center of Rio das Ostras. It’s close to Praia do Centro, Praia do Cantinho da Sereia, and Praia de Costa Azul, and near the city’s main beaches and shops. At Praia de Costa Azul there’s an impressive emissary, where I got to fish at night using illuminated fishing gear. You can find fishing supply shops around the city. The shops also have attractive prices, like the women’s shorts I found for 9.90. Great city, I recommend it.
