The owners are so welcoming and will go out of their way to help you feel at ease. They can do your laundry and either give you a ride or arrange transport. Google Maps pinpoints the place, so it’s easy to find. A great Rio base if you’re not especially after the Copacabana or Ipanema nightlife. Breakfast is excellent too.

Such a beautiful house.

The house and the view are beautiful, but that’s about all I liked. I paid 500 reais and got a room with a dirty bathroom. I couldn’t bring myself to use the whirlpool tub. Breakfast was very basic too: they put out only 2 French rolls, with no sweet bread or range of fresh breads, just bisnaguinha and sliced bread. There wasn’t even a sign identifying the inn when I arrived, so it felt more like an Airbnb. It’s a lovely-looking place, but I wouldn’t return.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here, and they made the room look lovely. The breakfast was really good, and they took especially good care of us. Everything was beautiful. I’d definitely come back.
