Brazuca's Hostel

The hosts were great, knowledgeable, and helpful. The location is great too, just a few blocks from the beach with restaurants and shops all around.

I stayed during carnaval in 2018 and had booked well in advance, specifying the room for me and two friends. I paid 50% when making the reservation, four months ahead. When I arrived to check in on the agreed day, the room was occupied, and a crowd of people was packed into a small room that could comfortably fit six at most. The whole place was completely disorganized. I don't recommend staying at this hostel.

I spent New Year's at the hostel and was welcomed really warmly by the team, who were already handing out colorful wristbands to celebrate. The place was clean, airy, and cozy, close to the beach. The room's air conditioning worked really well, which mattered because Rio was scorching. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting RJ who wants to spend little and have a lot of fun!

I stayed at Brazucas from 12 to 16 March 2014 and want to thank everyone who works there, Camila, Dora, Rita, Denise, and Fernando, for the great welcome and hospitality. They're really down-to-earth, fun, and helpful people. Brazucas has a warm, family-like feel and is clean and organized. It's also in a great spot, close to everything: beaches, the metro, shops, restaurants, and snack bars. I recommend it to everyone!
