The house and my room were beautiful and clean, and the nature around it was amazing. I spotted lovely birds and monkeys nearby. The main street is an easy walk away, with supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, and public transport. I had no trouble getting an Uber in either direction, so traveling alone was easy too. Thanks to Helena & Diogo and their lovely dog George for such a beautiful stay!

Helena and Diogo were so sweet and made me feel welcome and at home. The breakfast was thoughtfully prepared each time, and I loved the garden and the lovely house with its beautiful view. Thanks for making my stay so wonderful. I highly recommend Casa Caminho do Corcovado!

The uphill walk makes getting to the house a bit inconvenient, and there isn't even a small fridge to keep water cold. If you come back tired and haven't brought water, it's six blocks downhill to a kiosk or supermarket, then six blocks back up. There are no facilities for having lunch at the inn either, no fridge, oven, microwave, or even basic dishes. So it doesn't really work as a hotel with nearby services, or as an inn where you can stock up and stay in. The house itself is beautiful, but I don't think the service lives up to the location.
