We spent almost two months at casa da Floresta and had a lovely time. It’s a tastefully decorated, fully equipped home in a beautiful, authentic neighborhood, away from tourist crowds and close to Tijuca National Park. Leandra was flexible and helpful, with plenty of suggestions for things to do in Rio. The seven dogs are really cute. Juliette & Luca
I had a wonderful stay. The host was so kind and welcoming, and I feel lucky I got to stay here. If you want to experience Rio’s beautiful nature, I’d definitely recommend this place!
I stayed at this hostel for 10 days when I first arrived in Rio. It’s a good, inexpensive option if you like dogs, plan to spend your days out hiking or exploring, and aren’t expecting a five-star hotel. I walked toward Corcovado, but it was a 15 km walk, so be prepared for that.
A great stay. Leandra was attentive and communication was excellent. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for peace and quiet near nature.
