Dacia and her mom are gracious hosts, but very down to earth. We had easy, fun conversations and plenty of laughs. They really make CasaJOMO feel special. The hotel itself is beautiful, and although there are steps to climb, walking through it is a pleasure. The place is quiet, and I slept well. There was barely any traffic on the street, but cute shops and restaurants in Santa Teresa were only about a five-minute walk away. I loved the artsy feel around the neighborhood and CasaJOMO. The pool is lovely too, a nice place to relax. I felt comfortable walking around town, and the area around CasaJOMO felt quite safe. It's a fun little journey. I loved everything about the place, which felt like both a peaceful escape and a home. I only have videos of CasaJOMO, so the photos I can share are a view from my top-floor room and two examples of the abundant street art in Santa Teresa, a short walk from the hotel.

Dacia was a wonderful, friendly host who gave us lots of useful information about the city. This small hotel is in a very safe part of Santa Teresa, and you can walk to Rio's old center, passing the famous coloured stairs, esacada de Selaron. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and perfectly clean. Dacia's mum made a good, healthy breakfast, and after a day exploring Rio in the heat, the pool was a welcome bonus. Don't hesitate!

Dacia and her family were wonderful hosts. The location and pool view are amazing, and the rooms stayed comfortable and quiet even during carnaval. The food was delicious, especially the fresh-baked bread, cake, and juice. I'd recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in Rio.

Three of us were colleagues on a business trip and stayed with Darcia and her family for a week. What a great place! They even helped with printing and laundry, and everything was flexible and easy. The neighborhood felt safe and very bohemian.

CasaJomo was the first stop of our three-week honeymoon in Brazil, and we couldn't have asked for a better start. The hosts were so nice that it felt like staying with family. The breakfast was the best ever, with fresh juices, homemade cakes, pancakes, waffles, and fresh fruit. Our room was large and clean, and the beds were really comfortable. Santa Teresa is lively and colorful, with street art and music on every corner. We hope to come back one day. 5/5 ❤️
