The breakfast and drinks in the shared space made it easy to meet people, and I came away with friends from Brazil and elsewhere. Having my own room and bathroom gave me privacy, while the open common area was welcoming and beautifully decorated and landscaped. This was my best stay in a communal property. My room, C Pacini, had a huge mural and a raised loft bed. They even added another bed for my friends, which made our stay comfortable. Every room is named for a local artist in Santa Teresa and decorated with that artist's work. Everything was clean and cute. Santa Teresa feels historic, artistic, and quaint. I walked around most of the time and felt safe, though buses, bikes, and taxis are also options. The fresh fruit and juices each day were lovely, and the fridge was stocked with refreshments at affordable prices. They also offer airport transfers and free local recommendations for exploring the city. Reana, Daniel, Rafeal, Ana, Pedro, Stephano, and the rest of the family showed such genuine warmth and hospitality. They were the most amazing people I met in Rio. I'm grateful and can't wait to come back.
