Copa Executive Flat

We liked the Flat and the service from the other staff. The younger doorman was polite, friendly, and efficient. The older doorman, though, was in a bad mood and quite unfriendly.

Excellent accommodation!

Cantagalo station is 200 meters away, and the location is great for the beach or metro. If you’re on a budget, public transport can get you everywhere. Big Nectar, a 24-hour Creole restaurant, is nearby, and supermarkets that stay open late are 400 meters away. There’s also a nice, well-stocked bakery and cafe called coqueta 200 meters away for breakfast. Some apartments face a hill, so they have privacy but no direct sunlight and stay cooler than other buildings. The pool is small but works, and there are barbecue facilities. Valet parking is available. I’d leave a 10 reais tip to make sure they treat you well. The service is for experienced drivers, so don’t risk parking yourself. The neighborhood is quiet. Some streets may look dangerous because they’re dark, but overall it’s fine. Don’t go into the tunnel at night, since it leads to a staircase on the left and a favela 600 meters away. In daytime the tunnel is peaceful, and locals are just passing through.

The location is good, with the beach close enough to walk to, though parking isn’t great. The building itself is very good, and the staff are excellent. The garage is a bit inconvenient because its key stays at reception, so you have to call them 10 minutes before you want to leave with the car. The building is very close to the tunnel, and there’s a lot of car traffic and plenty of businesses around.
