What a lovely beach, with such charismatic people. There are caipirinha stands every 15 steps or so, each one different, which was great fun for someone like me who loves the drink. The promenade has people around day and night, from all over the world. Writing this brings back a little nostalgia. I hope to return soon.

Rio is beautiful, and Copacabana Beach is wonderful. There are lots of kiosks for a draft beer, some snacks, or just enjoying the beach. The water's a little cold, but lovely. Getting a photo by the Drummond statue is practically a ritual, and it's charming, though there's usually a good line.
