A really quiet spot in Lapa, with clean bathrooms, friendly staff, and a nice exhibition of local art. The food was delicious and the portions were huge. We had the caldinho de feijado, creamy bean soup, which I'd rate 15/10, plus fish with vegetables at 9/10 and picadinha cortiço at 9/10. Highly recommend stopping here in Lapa before or after seeing Selaron scales -Escadaria Selaron.
The croquette de costela and pastel de carne seca were delicious, and that guava barbecue sauce they served with them was just incredible. The place has a lovely feel, with samba and art on the walls, and such a light, easygoing energy. Luiz, Pedro, and the morning cook Carlos were so friendly and made the experience even better. Thank you so much, I really recommend it.
I loved the food, the atmosphere and decor, and the service from Sr Luis. I’ll definitely keep coming back!
We had Sunday lunch at the restaurant. Five stars for its historical value, the care and comfort in the decor, the service, and the food. We ordered bobó de camarão and fettuccine with shrimp for the kids. The fettuccine was a bit too salty, and I would have liked more options for children. Apart from that, everything was just right. I'd definitely come back, and now I'm curious to try the feijoada. =)
Robson, the landlord, is attentive and very friendly. It has a neighborhood feel, and they even give you keys. It's quiet, very affordable for a long stay, and in an excellent location. The rooms are somewhat old and dark, though, and the bathrooms are a little far away.
