The rooftop is incredible, and the view over Rio de Janeiro is one of the best I've seen. The hotel and room were both spotless, and the room was spacious with a lovely design. I came with my son for his first visit to Rio, and the whole stay went smoothly, from arrival to departure. Everyone was kind, always smiling, and ready to help, from reception and the entrance team to the rooftop pool and restaurant, beach chair service, room service, housekeeping, and the Concierge. That beach chair service was a big plus. Obrigado por tudo! I would definitely come back to Emiliano next time I'm in Rio.

The staff were outstanding, helpful, and accommodating. We found the facilities clean and updated, including a gorgeous, quiet private pool. The hotel is convenient to the best parts of Copa and Ipanema. We've stayed in all kinds of hotels around the US and the world, and this was easily the best one we've ever experienced. I wish I could give it more stars.

A pair of valuable solid gold earrings disappeared from my room during the stay. I was careful with valuables in the city, and I'm confident they were there when I arrived and had not been worn outside. The hotel investigated internally and said it found no irregularities, but the earrings haven't been recovered and I haven't been offered meaningful resolution or compensation. I know these situations can be hard to prove, but I expected more accountability and support from a 5-star hotel. Take extra care with your valuables if you stay here. I had otherwise enjoyed my stay, but this has completely changed my impression.

The handling of my booking was extremely stressful during a busy travel period, and communication was inconsistent. I had confirmed and prepaid months ahead for New Year's Eve, then shortly before arrival I was told the hotel couldn't accommodate me because of “availability issues.” At the same time, rooms for those dates still appeared online. For a property presented as one of Rio's top luxury hotels, failing to honor a confirmed reservation and handle the problem professionally is unacceptable. Luxury also depends on reliability.

The location, right in the middle of copagabana, is hard to beat. My room was modern and clean, and the Concierge team went out of their way to organize activities and help me. Easily one of Rio's top 3 hotels. Highly recommend it!
