Hostel Cadê Teresa

Right in Largo dos Guimarães, in the heart of Santa Teresa, Cade Teresa is in a great spot. The samba dos guimaraes is another big draw. It could be a really unique experience, though the cleaning can vary: the volunteers change often, so it depends on each person’s contribution and whether the host keeps an eye on the details. There are shared rooms as well as private options.

The guests gave the place a great vibe, and the location is convenient. I found the staff friendly and helpful, the atmosphere welcoming, and the facilities clean and cared for. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you want somewhere comfortable and pleasant.

Saturday nights bring live music, with samba and forró, and the atmosphere gets lively and feels authentically Brazilian. I loved my stay here. It’s a great way to meet people and enjoy the culture. Highly recommend it!

We were without water for more than 10 hours, so we couldn’t flush the toilet or do anything. All night we kept messaging, and the answer was always that it would be back in a few minutes. The staff were incredibly unfriendly and seemed unmotivated. The only kind person was the girl with a tattoo on her hand, who offered a solution the next morning that included a refund. TERRIBLE HOSTEL. I’d give it zero stars if I could.
