The people are nice, and breakfast is good. It’s a small place, but clean. Best of all, Flamengo's Beach is about a five-minute walk away.

The room was dirty, with hair everywhere, and the noisy AC was leaking water and not working. The photos also looked at least 20 years old. I saw a couple of elderly men wandering around as if they owned the place, and it gave me the impression this might be a nurses' home. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that, but this didn’t feel like a HOTEL. This place is a dump.

The rooms are on the small side, but you’re in a great neighborhood. Aterro do Flamengo and Largo do Machado are easy to reach. There are lots of buses one block away, and the Largo do Machado subway station is two blocks away.

The staff were good, but the rooms weren’t so great. It’s fine for a quick stay, especially for tourists since the location is ideal. I’d put the place at around two and a half stars.
