The views were hard to beat, and the owners were friendly. Breakfast was good too. It has a lovely retro feel, more like a small guesthouse than a regular hotel. The area felt safe, with Sugarloaf Mountain about a 10-minute walk away and a promenade just outside for a stroll.

The rooftop has spectacular views, and the owner is very attentive. It’s a lovely hotel in a quiet but central part of the city, with an excellent breakfast. Since it rained throughout our stay, we spent more time indoors and noticed a few drawbacks: the TV is quite small, the internet wasn’t great for streaming, and a strong smell came from the bathroom drain.

We had a wonderful stay. Breakfast was great, and the cozy rooms were kept clean. Our host, Andreas, was very kind and attentive. The terrace view is outstanding, and the waterfront location is fantastic, with Sugarloaf nearby. Highly recommend!

The rooftop terrace has amazing views, and the location is great. Staff were welcoming and happy to accommodate kids. Breakfast was great too. We’d absolutely come back.

Breakfast was excellent, with a continental buffet and a different hot dish each day. Our spacious room had quirky decor. Andreas was a wonderful host, and the place sits in a quiet waterfront neighborhood while still being central for Rio’s sights. Lovely bed and breakfast style accommodation, highly recommended.
