I got sick during my stay, and the hosts took care of me. Nana made me amazing meals all day, while Samir helped with every problem I had. They’re the friendliest people I’ve met in almost a year of travelling. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an authentic Brazilian hospitality experience.

We had a great experience, and the neighborhood was really good. It felt safe and peaceful, with easy access to the center and port area. There are supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants and bars nearby, as well as the beautiful Quinta de Boa Vista park with the lovely new BioParque beside it. The Clube Vasco stadium is close, and it’s easy to get to Maracanã stadium too. Five stars!

The place felt really safe, and I loved staying there. The spot they have on Vidigal beach is great too. I’ll be back again!

The common areas were a nice place to meet people from all over, and getting around was easy, with transport, attractions and good restaurants close by. I also found the hostel welcoming, clean and well organized. The staff were kind, attentive and always ready to help, so I felt at home. I’d happily return and recommend it!
