Linx Galeão by Wish

Right by Rio de Janeiro's Galeão Airport, this is a decent place for a night before leaving. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom decent, though there’s nothing fancy about it. The shuttle was a plus. I did find the room very noisy, with a steady humming like machinery, though I couldn’t tell where it came from.

The airport shuttle left us with a bitter end to an otherwise lovely vacation. With four of us, three elderly, and so much luggage, we felt the driver should have noticed and offered help. Instead, they didn’t help load or unload anything. This was Friday, 16 January, at around 5:30 PM. We spent one night at Linx Galeão Hotel before heading home after a great holiday, and otherwise it met our expectations. The facilities were decent, the staff friendly and helpful, the restaurant food good, and both the relaxed bar and pleasant pool area were appreciated.

Even after the noon checkout, you can use the pool, toilets, showers, restaurant, gym, and luggage storage until it’s time to head to your flight. That worked especially well for us with a late flight. The facilities are great and the staff are really helpful. It’s a very good hotel for its airport location, and I’d recommend it to anyone travelling to Rio.

The free shuttle is handy, and breakfast has a decent buffet of Brazilian-style items. The room was clean and comfortable, close to GIG airport. There’s a modern lobby, but the rooms themselves are basic, fine for a quick night before a flight.
