Breakfast was plentiful, and my first room was pleasant. When I asked for a warmer bedcover during that first 2-3 day stay, they gave me one. Two weeks later I returned with the same group, while I had bad bronchitis, and got a much colder, damper room on the floor below. The sheets felt damp and it was so cold I had to sleep in my clothes. Afterwards I was charged extra for taking a bedcover from the spare twin bed to try to keep warm, and for a second bath towel I didn't use. It was too cold even to take a cold shower. Other guests should keep this in mind. You have been warned.

The Guest house is near the beach, and some of its income helps local village kids take part in an after-school program. They also hold different holistic health events and gatherings, which was my favorite part. A great place to stay.

The rooms really need improvement and didn't match the photos. There was no breakfast when I visited. The location is great and near the community, but it felt very peaceful. I loved that, and the hosts were super friendly.

I was welcomed so warmly, and the room had a lovely view of the woods and a comfortable hammock. There was a dance rehearsal event going on that made the place feel nice to spend time in. The only thing that needs more attention is the cleaning. Otherwise, perfect!

I loved staying in the middle of Rio's urban forest. Parati guest house is a really welcoming space, and the host is very attentive.
