Quarto Individual - Copacabana - BR - RJ

The room was tiny but fine for two, and the location was great, right behind the Copacabana palace. There's an awesome bakery three minutes away with very fresh food, though breakfast at the hotel was good too. The fridge had water and sodas, but they were expensive and not free, something they hadn't made clear. More generally, it was frustrating that included services weren't explained upfront, so I expected things that weren't actually provided. The staff also felt less warm and welcoming than I expected, and could use better hospitality training. With clearer communication, better upkeep, and friendlier service, the stay could be much more enjoyable.

The rooms were okay, not the most comfortable, but perfectly good enough, and the breakfast was simple and pleasant. The staff were super friendly. Windsor Copa is very close to Copacabana beach, which makes it convenient, and it's a great value for the price and location in Rio.

It's just steps from the ocean, and much cheaper than the ocean-view hotels on the other side of the block. The friendly staff and great breakfast were nice too. If you're after an ocean view, though, this isn't the place. Caipirinhas at Oceanside restaurants cost 26 reais, but daily specials are cheaper and come with live samba music.

The room was small, but it had everything we needed, including a safe and a fridge. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. It's close to the beach, and a nice perk is that they provide beach towels and have a dedicated shower in the basement where you can rinse off the sand before heading up to your room.
