I booked an apartment with Rio spot homes in Copacabana, rio, from 22nd October until 6th November, after spending a week in sao paulo at the start of my holiday in Brazil. It was a very modern, clean place, and the purple mood lighting made it a bit saucy. Purple's my favourite colour, so it would have been great for lovers, but sadly I was there on my own 😔. On Avenue prado junior, it was close to everything, and security was excellent, 24 hours a day. The company communicated really well, the staff were all very friendly, and the price was very reasonable. I'd definitely recommend them, and I'll stay here next time I come to rio.

I booked with Rio spot homes in March, as the COVID-19 pandemic was getting started. When my flight was canceled, they said they would refund my booking. But they told me to cancel it online, even though their policy said they'd only take cash at the front counter when I checked in. Later I called to ask why they'd charged me, and they wouldn't respond. I'm unhappy with how they treated me.

If zero stars were an option, that's what I'd give. Apartment 701 on rua general urquiza in Leblon RJ was old and smelled of cigarette smoke. The bathroom was run-down and had cockroaches. The air conditioner was old, dirty, and disgusting. When I turned it on, it seemed like it was lighting a cigarette. When you check in, I recommend filming the apartment and checking every detail: the number of pillowcases, pillows, towels, forks, knives, and glasses. We found that one bedroom had no pillowcase, but assumed that was just how it was. At checkout, they had the nerve to charge us for two old, used pillowcases that weren't there. They must have been as filthy as the rest of the bedding. I wanted to open my bags and make the inspector search for those pillowcases. One disappointment after another. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Rio Spot Homes handled everything with real care and professionalism. The apartment was spotless, and the attentive team helped make our family vacation in the Marvelous City special. I recommend them!
