The staff are nice, but they can't make up for the obvious shortcomings of a place that wasn't designed as a hotel. The rooms are very expensive for how tiny they are, breakfast is average, and the Wi-Fi is slow. There's nowhere to move around or sit in the reception area. After one night we moved somewhere much nicer and 30% cheaper.

The rooms are small, but they have everything you need. There's a great shower, delicious breakfast, and attentive staff. The location is perfectly central, with the metro making it easy to get to the beach area and downtown. If you know this isn't a 5-star hotel, you'll be happy. I'd go back and recommend it to friends visiting Rio.

It's a very simple hotel without much infrastructure, so it's fine for a few nights if you're going to explore the city rather than spend time there. I liked the price, location, cleanliness, breakfast, and staff. The rooms are very small and have no windows. We also had electrical problems: our key didn't work properly, so the lights and electronics kept turning off. Noise carries a lot too. If people are loud in the hall or in nearby bedrooms, you'll hear it and may have trouble sleeping.

They said my credit card wasn’t valid, which was false, and canceled our reservation. Then they asked us to book the same room again, but the price had gone up tenfold. That felt fraudulent.
