Santa Teresa Panorama

I was there with my son for his first visit to Rio, and everything was perfect from arrival to departure. The hotel was spotless, including the room, and the pool and gardens were very well maintained. Everyone was kind, smiling, and ready to help. The reception, restaurant, and entrance staff were all amazing. We loved our delicious dinner at Térèze, too. The hotel is perfectly placed in the Santa Teresa neighborhood, close to everything. The only thing I regret is that the spa was fully booked on the day we had set aside for it. We loved Térèze and the breakfast was a favorite, especially the staff there. Alex at the bar restaurant was exceptional, and the room staff paid attention to little details. The team overall was awesome. We felt safe, slept well in a very comfortable bed, and had outstanding views. The historic boutique feel made our three-night stay feel fun and special.

When my return flight was suddenly canceled, I was glad this hotel was close to the airport. I’d originally considered staying at Santa Theresa, but decided a beachfront hotel would be more practical. I only wish I’d had more time here. It’s a gem, with historic character alongside modern comfort, spacious rooms, warm staff, and incomparable views. The neighborhood is lively at night, with lots of twists and turns to explore. The steep hills and many stairways are a real challenge, though even if you’re fit, the vistas will take your breath away. I’ll be back.

The service was friendly, but I left the spa facial feeling neither relaxed nor satisfied. It was very basic and painfully slow, with each step seeming to take about 10 minutes, whether cleaning or applying product, as if just running down the clock. The speakers were full of static, so I had to ask them to turn off the music. The locker room and relaxation area were old and not clean enough. The mirror was dirty, the table hadn’t been wiped properly, and the lounge chairs were unkempt. At 448 reals, it felt overpriced. I don’t recommend the place.
