Sol Ipanema Hotel

I used the hotel as the pickup point for an excursion, and it worked out smoothly and on time. Its spot by the beach made it easy for my driver to find me. Waiting out front was comfortable too, since the area felt clean, safe, and well kept. The staff were friendly and made me feel welcome even though I was only there briefly. A convenient, stress-free place to start the day.

I'd only book during the off season. The hotel is nice enough, the location is pretty good, and most of the staff were friendly and attentive. But the pool area is tiny and breakfast seating is limited. With just two elevators for guests and workers across 15 floors, you can wait several minutes, and sometimes an elevator arrives already completely full.

The location is great, the staff were attentive, and the beach service was a real perk. But the rooms were uncomfortable and so small that two suitcases wouldn't fit without blocking the closet. There were only a few loungers by the pool, which itself was about the size of a small plunge pool. Breakfast stayed exactly the same for all six days, with no variety. For the quality, I found the hotel expensive.

We were there in the off season, and our Mountain View room on floor 13 had a view that did NOT disappoint. The room was spotless and seemed fairly recently renovated. The rooftop and the restaurant downstairs also had beautiful beach views. Breakfast was included, fresh, and had some of the best fruit we ate each morning. Using the included beach service was simple and convenient. The gym is small, but it did the job.
