I was grateful to spend two weeks at Village Potira during my dream trip to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I felt welcomed and looked after while traveling. My plans were delayed after I booked my ticket, so I didn’t arrive when expected. Village Potira got in touch to check where I was and make sure I was safe on the way there. I got to see all the highlights and really enjoyed having this beautiful place to stay and retreat. I made friends who feel like extended family now. I highly recommend Village Potira, a true Guest House. Five-plus stars! ❤️🇧🇷 ✈️❤️

They may run this as a business, but not in a fair way. I booked 30 days ahead, and when an issue came up, they wouldn't even consider another option or refund my money. I hope nobody else has problems with them. I can't accept this kind of behavior from a hotel or hostel. Such a shame.

Village Potira felt like home by the time I left. It was clean, cozy, and well organized, and Rosi did everything she could to make guests comfortable and help them out. My experience was great from finding the hostel online to leaving. If you're staying near Barra da Tijuca in Rio de Janeiro, this is the place.

The room gets crazy hot during the day, and they never turn on the air conditioning. There isn't even a fan. The shower also had no hot water. Otherwise, everything was nice.
