The view of the Rio skyline is one of the best. The climb up to the favela is steep, but we felt safe and had no problems to report. The landlord was very kind and helpful, and I'll come back.

The view was stunning, and the place felt cozy during my stay. Staying in Rocinha was a one-of-a-kind experience. The people were simple and welcoming, with such an upbeat spirit. I really recommend it.

When we arrived, the house had already been rented to someone else. Our reservation wasn't honored, and we were left out on the street with no place to stay or help from Rosa, who was away in another state. She showed no concern for me or the other person who had booked. Since it was our first time in Rio de Janeiro and we didn't know anyone there, the situation put us at risk. Some neighbors kindly helped us out. The owner and the people responsible for the property apparently disagreed about whether rooms were available, and I was the one who lost out. We never got into the house or received a proper welcome. I don't want the charge to go through on my card. I submitted a complaint, but the app's support feels automated, and it sends us to a foreign representative. The online service doesn't feel personal, and I still need this issue resolved.

The street is really steep, but it's well worth it. Just order a motoboy and enjoy your stay! Diogo cleans and takes the trash out every day, and the place is very cozy. We were warmly welcomed and loved it. Thanks to Diogo and family, we'd love to come back soon! 🙌❤️
