The hotel is right beside the water park, so getting in is easy. It feels like a typical US-style three- or four-star place. They were reluctant to accommodate my guest, and getting them into the water park became a big hassle. Once I called, the manager stepped in and managed to help.

Staying inside the complex made a big difference, and the food was amazing. I’ve been to Rio Quente several times, but this was one of my best visits. The staff were spectacular, especially Manager Rogério Angeloni, who went out of his way to make us feel special and enjoy ourselves. I’d definitely return and recommend staying here, particularly for older guests or families with kids looking for a relaxing trip.

The wedding was handled really well, and the resort facilities are world class. I had a very good stay and would recommend the place and come back. It’s a water park resort built around hot springs, with a small town nearby and not much else around, though the resort itself has everything you need. If you’re used to travelling in Asia or the US, things work differently here. My room was clean, roomy, and set up well for the hot weather. English-speaking staff were available for most of the day and very helpful. I did request room service one night, which the hotel says it offers, and extra towels, but neither happened. I assumed that was down to the language barrier and the night staff.

We went to the Rio Quente Risort in 2013, and my family and I had a really good time. It was a beautiful place with lots to do, and there were plenty of food options at reception. I’m sure I’ll return to this paradise, and I’ve recommended it to all my friends. Congratulations to the manager!
