We loved the side of our apartment facing the beach, and the hotel is in a great spot. The staff are really sweet, attentive and helpful, and the place is very comfortable. The shared areas did get loud, though. Music played all day until about 10 pm, so we had to keep the windows shut to cut down the noise.
The service fell short of what I expected, and the hotel is pretty stingy with the basics. There was no coffee machine, dish soap, sponge, paper towel for the kitchen, or drinking water fountain by the pool. Even though it's a multinational company, it doesn't compare with American hotels.
