Finding the garage entrance was a challenge. The street was so busy that we had to circle the block about four times. At reception, the women asked for our room number, but to get that number we first had to send photos of our documents to the owner. He was monosyllabic, didn't answer the phone and was about as friendly as a prison door. Then reception asked for our documents and photos all over again to let us through the turnstile. After that lovely ordeal, following hours of travel, we had to pay before he'd finally tell us the room number. Once we'd paid, he gave it to us, only for us to find out the room was already occupied. A string of delights. The receptionist said this wasn't the first time he'd done that. They put us in another tiny flat where you walk in and think, "modern." Maybe it would count as modern somewhere else: the shelves were falling, the baseboards were loose, the mirrors were broken, the walls were dirty and the outlets were exposed. There was no hot water for a shower. When we asked for the Wi-Fi password, the guy gave us the wrong one and didn't care enough to give us the right one. 300 reais straight in the trash. Save your nerves and patience and stay somewhere else. This is a tiny studio pretending to be a flat. Avoid Flats 310A and 1403!

The room at Astron Suítes Mondial Salvador by Nobile was dusty, the floors were dirty, and the bathroom didn’t seem properly sanitized. The sheets and towels also looked like they hadn’t been changed recently. When I checked in, the host asked for cash even though I’d booked through Booking.com. He agreed to a bank transfer only after I said I would cancel, which felt unprofessional and insecure. I was disappointed and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values cleanliness and professional booking management.

The hotel is in a good location, but the facilities are lacking. The corridors were dirty, and there weren’t any towels, which is absurd. When the power went out, the room turned into an oven, and the balcony was locked.
